WOMAN'S ONLY ADVENTURE RACE!
Shannon and I participated in the Woman's Only Adventure Race - Run, Bike, Paddle - this last Saturday. We did great!
Official results still are not posted, but we think we were #8 out of 15 teams. We finished in 1 hour 34 minutes - Lots of running, biking, and PADDLING!!!

Shanon with her medal!! She ran a 1/2 marathon the weekend before and is participating in a triathlon next week! Did I mention she went to work that evening? She's a L&D nurse at Hermann Hospital. No rest for the weary!

Here's me....muddy and smiling. There was a prize for the muddiest participant. I tried but didn't win. A woman after me mud crawled and painted her face with mud. She looked crazier than I did!!

A great picture of Shannon and me from 1992! We're on our way to Dallas on a trip we took our senior year in high school to with the band. So nice we're still having adventures many years later. Also now, our hair and outfits are better.

HAPPY EASTER!!
From the Ron Glenn's.

Here's a great shot (below) of the kids in front of our church.
And now, a list of the things not so obvious at first glance
1. Parker's suit does NOT fit anymore. How does a child grow almost 4 sizes in 3 months?
2. Noel is wearing a 10 dress. What?! She is only 9!
3. Elizabeth has had enough of posing. She's given up and is squatting - showing all her diaper.
4. Catherine, normally not so cooperative, is actually being good. I can't believe it.

Now on to Kelley's for brunch.

"Mom, I love biscuits, but do you really need to take my picture when I'm eating?"

"I don't care if you're taking my picture while I'm eating. Kelley's food is good. AND I can make a mess here. And no one cares. I love this place!"

Noel and Parker after breakfast. I'm not ashamed to say that I forced this pose on the two of them. Whatever it takes to get the perfect picture!!! They were in good spirits as they both had milkshakes with their meals.

A QUICK UPDATE FROM THE TWINS
"Hi everyone! It's me - Elizabeth. I'm just here smelling flowers. It's something I love to do. Of course, I usually choose to pick weeds and not flowers."

"Catherine here - hard at work - filling this bucket up with sand, emptying the bucket, then filling it up again. Please note the intense look of concentration on my face."
"Also, pulling the wagon is something I love to do. I'm very good at it. I also like to put things in the wagon and pull them around the circle. If you come and visit, I might just offer to take you for a ride!"
"Anything my big sister Noel can do, I'm going to try to do. Noel is an excellent jump-roper, so I have decided to practice...."
Both girls enjoy covering themselves with rocks at the playground. Ron and I are do not enjoy finding these rocks in their clothes, all over the house, in their car seats....you get the idea.

"Helping" Grandma in the Garden...

"Grandma. We heard you needed help planting flowers in the back yard.
Don't worry!
Help has arrived. We are here and ready to work!"

"First order of business - move this wheel barrow. It's not in the way, it's just fun to move it."

"Yeah - I'm going to need a little help with this ladder. It's pretty big and heavy. I'm not sure why we'd need it to plant flowers, but I'm certain it is necessary."

"Okay, sorry Grandma. We need to take this thing for a spin. We'll be back later (maybe) to help you clean up...."

AT THE PARK

Here's Elizabeth enjoying the swings.

Catherine on the swings as well..... FINALLY!!! A small smile on that sweet little face.

Who are these crazy children? Where are their parents?

Oh......No.....

This explains A LOT.

FIRST HAIR CUTS
Elizabeth....
"What is going on? So many things are not right here! First, I hate this horrible thing wrapped around my neck. Second, someone just sprayed water in my face - IN my face! What?!"

"I do not like scissors this close to my neck. No. Not good."

"Okay. You all are lucky. Aunt Jody is here. She is the only one that understands me."

CATHERINE...
Here is little Miss Catherine....now it is your turn!

Note to self: Catherine does not like this.

It's all over. She seems to be okay. Hair is shorter, but we have been assured that it will grown quickly and evenly.....we'll be watching.
